Please pray for Pastor Justin and his family as he is currently mobilized and preparing for an overseas deployment with the US Army.
Thank you for desiring to learn more about the life and ministry of our church! I was ordained as a minister of the Gospel by Haven Baptist Church in May 2016. My wife and I are humbled and thankful to serve alongside the body of Christ at Haven to reach the Huntsville-Madison communities with the Gospel.
My wife Bethany and I were married in 2004, and we have been blessed with four wonderful children. We enjoy hiking and spending time together. For the last couple years, I have coached my oldest son’s soccer team. Bethany is a Registered Nurse (R.N.), and she currently home schools our children.
I graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a Bachelor’s degree in History and Political Science. A few years later, I joined the military and graduated from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville with a Master of Business Administration. When I graduated from Tennessee, I commissioned as a United States Army officer and deployed to Iraq in 2009-10.
The Lord moved us to Haven and the Huntsville area in 2015 when I began working at Redstone Arsenal. I’m currently serving on active duty and working toward a Master of Divinity from Liberty University. Lordwilling, I’ll become a full-time military chaplain when I graduate in December 2018.
If you do not attend a church in the Huntsville-Madison area, please visit us at Haven! We would love to meet you. It is truly awesome to be a part of God’s story through the ministry of this loving church.
The heartbeat of our church is to live and fulfill the Great Commission.
Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age. – Matthew 28:19-20 CSB
As we go through life, we want everyone to know and experience the forgiveness, power, and unsurpassing love of our God through the life, death, and resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ.
We invite you to join us.
Grace & Peace,
Pastor Justin Wax
